Each year the Volunteer Fire Departments of Lewis and Clark County selflessly serve their fellow citizens by responding to thousands of calls to save lives and protect property. They also commit many hours a week to training and maintenance of their equipment, so that we can have a safer and better community.

We believe that their dedication and sacrifice should not go unnoticed, so we have established a partnership with the Rural Fire Counsel, to sponsor an annual Firefighter Appreciation Day and to contribute to a Fireman Relief Fund we have established in their honor. Over the 2 last years, we have given $2600 to this cause and we are organizing multiple events to allow the community to contribute as well, in the form of car washes and benefit meals at local volunteer fire departments.

This fund provides assistance to these public servants who may have a financial hardships which the Rural Fire Counsel deems appropriate to offer assistance.

We believe this is a great way to show we care and to invest in those who have invested so much of their lives in us. You can say "thanks" by sending your tax deductible donation to Big Sky Baptist Fellowship -   PO Box 9786 Helena, MT 59604.  Place Firefighter Relief Fund in the Memo.  100% of your donation goes to the Rural Fire Council!

You can also organize letter writing campaigns at your school, church, office, or organization to express your appreciation to your local volunteer firefighters.  They have a hard job with a huge commitment and it most often goes without any recognition.

Let’s change that together!!!
